About Us

David A. High M.D.

Dr. High graduated cum laude from Pennsylvania State University in 1977. He went on to attend Thomas Jefferson University Medical School where he graduated with his medical doctorate degree in 1981. After doing his internship at Abington Memorial Hospital, Dr. High spent a year serving as an Emergency Room Physician at St. Thomas Hospital in the U.S. Virgin Islands where he treated island locals and tourists as well. After returning from the Virgin Islands, Dr. High proceeded to complete his dermatology residency in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He opened his own private practice in 1986 which grew in both clients and staff members throughout the late 1980’s and 1990’s. Dr. High welcomed his current business partner, Dr. Elyse Harrop, to the practice in 2002.

Dr. High is a member of the New Jersey Medical Society, Burlington County Medical Society, the American Academy of Dermatology, and he is affiliated with Cooper Hospital University Medical Center. Dr. High has also served as a clinical instructor of dermatology for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.


Elyse Horn Harrop M.D.

Dr. Harrop graduated cum laude from Duke University in 1991 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She went on to attend Thomas Jefferson University Medical School where she graduated in the top 10% of her class with a medical doctorate degree in 1995. After graduation, Dr. Harrop decided to remain in Philadelphia to complete both her internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

After finishing her residency, Dr. Harrop joined Dr. High at Accent Dermatology. Two years later Dr. Harrop moved to Cleveland, Ohio to accept a position as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology on the Metro campus of Case Western Reserve University. She remained in this instructional position until 2002 when she rejoined Dr. David A. High at Accent Dermatology where she continues to excel.


 

Sarah Sidiqi, M.S.N.,F.N.P.

L. Sarah Sidiqi, M.S.N.,F.N.P., is a Nurse Practitioner of Accent Dermatology & Aluria Spa. Board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Ms. Sidiqi received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003.  She was the recipient of the James M. Johnson Scholarship awarded to qualified students demonstrating leadership potential and excellence in academics.  Prior to joining us at Accent Dermatology & Aluria Spa,     Ms. Sidiqi worked as a field clinical specialist and provided company training for health care providers on Merz aesthetics facial injectable products.  Ms. Sidiqi has been practicing aesthetic medicine since 2006 and has worked with multiple injectable products including: Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Juvaderm, Restylane, Belotero, Prevelle Silk, Evolence, Sculptra, and Radiesse.  Before her work in aesthetics and dermatology, she practiced as a pain management Nurse Practitioner at Duke University Medical Center.  Previous to receiving her FNP Ms. Sidiqi practiced for several years as a staff nurse at Duke University Hospital and she worked in several areas, including the plastic and reconstructive surgical unit and the orthopedic unit. Ms. Sidiqi also practiced as a staff nurse in Anchorage, Alaska after she completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Alaska, Anchorage in 1997. She graduated with leadership honors and was elected to Sigma Theta Tau, a national honor society for nurses, which recognizes and perpetuates excellence in the nursing profession.

Ms. Sidiqi joined our team at Accent Dermatology and Aluria Spa in November 2013 and is passionate about helping her clients look and feel their best. Ms. Sidiqi resides in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania with her husband, their two children, and their beloved dogs.


Jessica Ferrara – Aesthetician

Jessica Ferrara has been an aesthetician at Aluria Spa since October 2010.  She brings over 20 years of professional aesthetics and skin care experience to Aluria.  After graduating from Rizzieri Institute, Jessica spent 10 years working in the salon and spa industry performing facials, waxing services, and as a makeup artist. She specializes in treating teens with acne as well adults with aging skin.

Jessica’s passion for the medical field combined with her knowledge of skin care allowed her to make a seamless transition from traditional salon services to the medical-grade services performed at Aluria.  Continuing her education and training in the industry is important to her, as well as customizing treatments tailored to her patient’s goals.  She holds certifications in medical grade facials, Glytone peels, Epionce peels, PCA peels, and Dermasweep microdermabrasion.
